Roofing
Roof repair and new roofs
A roof tends to make itself known at the worst possible time — during a thaw, in autumn rain, or once the ceiling is already wet. Most roofs do not need a new covering at that moment. They need a repair in the right place.
We come and look, tell you honestly whether a repair will do or whether it is time to think about a new roof — and then we do the work.
Repairs
Most of our roof work is repair, not replacement.
- Finding and fixing leaks. The most common job. Water comes in at one point and the stain on the ceiling is usually somewhere else.
- Sheet metal work. Valleys, eaves, chimney and vent penetrations, drip edges. These are the places a roof actually leaks — not the covering itself.
- Gutters and downpipes. Including the brackets nobody checks until they let go.
- Winter damage. Ice load and the marks left by clearing snow.
- An inspection before the season. An autumn look is cheaper than a spring repair.

A new roof covering
When a roof has had its life, we build a new one: the old covering off, the structure underneath checked and repaired, then the new covering on.
We work with standing-seam and profiled sheet metal and with tile roofs. If the structure needs more work than it looked from the ground, you hear it before we carry on — not on the invoice.

Where we work
